Cool looking little drone with propeller guards.
EASE OF USE
Many helpful features that make a big difference.
Build quality seems realy good with high quality components.
Very affordable for the quality drone you get.
WHAT WE LIKE
- Many beginner friendly features
- Solid build quality for the price
- Can be flown easily indoors
WHAT WE don’t LIKE
- Small size makes it hard to fly outside
- Wish the batteries lasted longer, but you get three
Summary: The HolyStone Night Elf HS170G is a solid little drone that is really easy to fly and very portable. There are many beginer features that make this a perfict first drone that you will continue to fly for years to come. If the batteries lasted a little longer it would be even better. At least you get more than one! This is our favorite beginner drone for flying indoors.
So, you want to know how I got hooked to the Drone life?
Last summer my family and I went to the beach and while we were swimming I spotted something flying above. I was curious to find out what cool thing was hovering over us. I found out it was the DJI Phantom 3, and of course, I had to dig deeper to get the details on what this was all about. Little did I know those drones cost a fortune at $1200. To rich for my blood at the time. Yeah, there was no explaining to my wife why I “needed” that drone!
So, I kept looking up drones until I came across this starter drone from Holy Stone.
I’ve been hooked ever since!
The HS170G Night Elf mini RC quadcopter drone with altitude hold and the HS170 Predator Mini RC Helicopter Drone 2.4ghz 6-Axis Gyro 4 Channels, were a must buy and affordable for starters.
I’ve never had any issues flying they are strong and durable drones. They are tons of fun flying outside when there isn’t much wind since they are small you don’t want to much wind, so it does blow away. I found mine on Amazon for about $25 it came with 3 batteries and 2 chargers.
Cool tip: If you join Holystone on their Facebook group, they will take care of you. If you have any issues with your drone they are quick to respond.
I really enjoy this drone and I know you would too.
